this should be easier as for installing sound i really don't wanna touch [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] lmao. i might have too. my sound worked right off the bat the first time around. but my etthernet didn't. i had to find a file for the ethernet. guess i'll do the same for sound

if you need to repair permissions do it with disk utility

but you can install with kext utility or kext wizard

so whats the fastest way for me to get my sound going? i've been reading about applehda. i've downloaded it, and installed it with kext helper b7, but i still get the "no entry" sign with adjusting the volume. then i reaf something about patching and using the linux live cd (oh noes!)

the fastest and easiest way probably will be to search for voodooHDA that work for you

there are many version around the web and many installers...

also if you use it, remove applehda.kext OR use applehdadisabler.kext to not cause a conflicts with those two
