What you need:

Lion GM (11A511) Image or app..... i used it to create Bootable DVD

Hackboot-v6.2 cd image

##### 3.8 post installation utility

Kext Wizard (since Kext Utility as well as kext Helper b7 didn't work for me)

DSDT Auto-Patcher - requires Java for Mac (JavaForMacOSX10.7.dmg)

RealtekRTL81xx-0_0_67+.pkg (find it in download link Mediafire)

AzaliaAudio.pkg .....

All files download - link here.....

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1. Let's make Boot DVD out of Image you downloaded or if you downloaded bootable DVD already than skip this.....

This is pretty easy.

* Download Mac OS X Lion GM (11A511)

* From the Mac OS X Finder, locate the Mac OS X Installation file that was downloaded, right-click, and “Show Package Contents”

* Find and open the “SharedSupport” folder and locate a disc image file called “InstallESD.dmg”

* Copy “InstallESD.dmg” to your Mac OS X Desktop, this is the Lion disk image and what you’re going to create the bootable DVD from

* Now launch Disk Utility (/Applications/Utilities/), pop in a blank DVD, select the “InstallESD.DMG” file, and click on “Burn”

For people that like pictures please follow this link.... http://www.technobuzz.net/guide-to-create-...n-bootable-dvd/ or http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=178

Step 2. Download and burn Hackboot-v6.2 cd image (you can do this in windows environment also)

Step 3. Bios on my Mobo is default nothing special to mention.....

So Boot Computer with Hackboot CD once in GUI eject cd and insert Lion BootDVD we created earlier on.....press F5 Key on keyboard to continue......Comp will do it's thing and bring you into Lion Welcome screen..... continue..... Make sure you format HDD with GUID Partition Table Option..... Continue choose HDD that we just formated .... choose you options..... Press install wait for install to finish .....Reboot with Hackboot CD in just this time when you get to GUI screen choose HDD you Installed you Lion on and press Enter..... You will be presented with welcome screen for lion..... Input details and finish initial setup....... Once in Desktop environment you can eject HackBoot CD......

Step 4. Copy ##### 3.8 post installation utility

Kext Wizard (since Kext Utility as well as kext Helper b7 didn't work for me)

DSDT Auto-Patcher

RealtekRTL81xx-0_0_67+.pkg

AzaliaAudio.pkg

onto USB Stick and plug it in...... Copy all these files on your Desktop

Step 5. Install first JavaForMacOSX10.7.dmg then run DSDT Auto-Patcher and create your own DSDT.aml file and leave it on the Desktop

Run ##### in ##### Install mode.....nothing else checked......Reboot when it is finished....This will now do it's thing and your Comp is fully Bootable from HDD.... Using this method enabled my GeForce 9800 GT Card to full QE-CI 1920x1200 all resolutions unlocked via DVI-HDMI... my monitor is connected tith DVI-HDMI Cable...... when back into desktop environment Copy DSDT.aml file that was on desktop to your HDD (just click HDD and paste it there so it is not on Desktop any more)......

Step 6. Run AzaliaAudio.pkg and Reboot this will bring your audio to full HD Audio in your settings panel and your audio will work fully

Step 7. Run RealtekRTL81xx-0_0_67+.pkg to enable your LAN connection.....Reboot

Asus Bluetooth USB-BT21 Dongle worked Out of the box

And that is it folks.....Simple as that, now you have fully functional Lion install ....Cheers

Little Snitch 2.4.1 out and compatible with Lion.....They fixed some problems with Lion boot and so on.....until next time.....Live long and prosper...

I have the G41MT-D3

I am following your guide, my problem is when I boot into Hackboot 6.2, everything appears to be working, but there is no response no matter what I press on my keyboard. Is there a reason it wouldn't be functioning so that I can remove the disc and insert the Lion Install DVD? Thanks, any help is appreciated.

You must use PS2 Keyboard for initial boot.....USB Keyboard is not working

Hi, I cannot get past the installation point- I have triple checked the tutorial. The system hangs right after choosing the installation. it hangs saying system uptime...:( my system settings are similar to yours- except:

CPU E5500 2.8GHz

RAM 2gig

ATI HD 5770

i have attached the image..

post-861189-1315149168_thumb.jpg

In re-reading again- looks like i have cpu kernel panic.

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x55c25d) unable to find driver for this platform: \ACPI\".N"\@USERS/NAWCOM/BUILDS/XNU-1504.7.4/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp"1393

I am going to try Maldon's Imac12,1 to see if it fixes the problem.

I tried using the method here and I get kernel panics booting off the CD. I am using Hackboot 6.2 to boot with the following hardware:

Q8400 CPU

Gigabyte G41MT-D3V

8 GB DDR3 RAM

ATI 5770

Any specific boot options and did you reset your bios to complete defaults when installing?

Hello,

It's my first post, sorry for my bad English! I've just installed Lion on this motherboard with this guide, but I have some problems in the post-install phase.

My system is:

GA-G41MT-D3

2.4 Quad Core

2GB Ram

ATI Radeon HD6870

SATA HD

I have Lion installed but I have problems with Sound and Sleep/wake. Everything else is working OK, startup, shutdown, graphics, etherent...

Is this method working for anyone?

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!
