Ashgotti
Wierd wierd problem. I installed 10.4.7 (jas') and my wifi didnt work so i got the io.kext from 10.4.5, used that, bing works. But I can't connect to my home network... tripple checked hte password but no go. I can connect to open ones tho. I had a patched 10.4.7 from my first 10.4.5 install from months ago and wanted to do a clean install. Anyways I had wifi working before no problem, no patching needed... Guest bikedude880
It might help if we knew what wifi card you are using, as your post doesn't hint at any brand or model. jedavis1
I have the same card with 10.4.8 installed. It doesn't recognize the card (it doesn't show anything) can someone post the kext file from 10.4.5? Or post instructions on how I can get it working? Thanks. Actually, I just got it to work. I used the IO80211family.kext from the 10.4.5 intel update from apple's website and then changed the networkplst.kext (or something) to shift the airport to en1 and rebooted and it works great. I used the instructions found for the Atheros ar5005 instructions (do a search).
