TimmyK.
Hi, every time I open System preferences it gives me that "system preferences has quit unexpectedly" notice, with the options of ignore, report, or reopen. Any idea how to fix this? The problem persists after multiple reboots. If I recall correctly, I never encountered it before the events of this thread. 0xcafebabe
Hi, every time I open System preferences it gives me that "system preferences has quit unexpectedly" notice, with the options of ignore, report, or reopen. Any idea how to fix this? The problem persists after multiple reboots. If I recall correctly, I never encountered it before the events of this thread. Since updating to 10.8.6 10.6.8, I have the same problem. I assume it is related to the [PCI configuration begin] freeze I had to workaround by DSDT patching. TimmyK.
Do you mean 10.6.8 (no successor to Lion has been released)? And can you give me a walkthrough on how to do this? TimmyK.
OK, I found this, but it doesn't make much sense. Can someone give me a walkthrough on DSDT patching?
