hippiex
Hello there, yesterday i got my homebrew mac and i can tell that im really impressed with it. But im having a serious problem with it... i cant use my audio card, and i really need it to my music productions. I have tried to email the company RME asking for Universal Binary but seems that they will never relase such a driver... check the answer from RME: -------------- Hi, Iit wouldn't do any good to have the driver at this point, because there are no RME PCI-E or Expresscard interfaces. All Intel Macs have either PCI-E slots only(Mac Pro),or Expresscard slots(MacBook Pro).PCI-E is not compatible with PCI cards, and Expresscard slots are not compatible with pcmcia cards. RME is developing PCI-E interfaces, but I don't have a release date.I would expect a product announcement at one of the trade shows;maybe AES in October,or Namm in January.MacIntel drivers should be available when the PCI-E interfaces are released,or shortly thereafter. RME has no plans for Expresscard interfaces, though,so at this point,if you want to use an RME interface with a MacBook Pro,you will have to use one of the firewire interfaces; either the Fireface 800,or the new Fireface 400(both of which have MacIntel drivers). I have been using a MacBook Pro with a Fireface 800,and the combination works well under both OS X,and XP. Regards, RME. --------------- Someone knows if theres a way to hack it or to make the PPC driver work on x86 ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot, hippie Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26468-driver-for-rme-multiface/ Share on other sites
