Hi! ;)

Sorry for my newbness and ignorance. I've searched both the forum and Google, and have found a result: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...=Atheros+AR9285

 

The only thing is, I really don't understand it.

What I understand is, because obviously the hardware in a hackintosh isn't actually for a Mac, we need kexts to run the hardware. From what I understand, that link above provides a kext for the Atheros AR9285, however I've no idea how to 'add' the kext?

 

Can someone shed some light on this for me?

I just checked System Profiler.

Here's what it gives me for AirPort:

However it doesn't pick up anything when I scan for networks, and when I enter it manually it times out straight away.
