Press F8 during boot (be quick) then you are in the darwin bootloader. Type ? to see all bootoptions. Rammjet
When you are booting up, first the screen turns black and then grey. Right when the screen turns black, start tapping the F8 key repeatedly and quickly until a command prompt appears. Type -f at the prompt. -f forces the kext cache to be rebuilt during the boot -x is safe mode - you still have a GUI but a lot of things are disabled -s is single user mode - it is a command prompt environment -v is verbose mode - it displays messages (and errors) of what is happening during the boot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26425-how-do-you-boot-into-os-x-with-the-f-switch/#findComment-179243 Share on other sites
