seanmcgpa Posted July 25, 2011 Share Posted July 25, 2011 I'm told the AMD 6870 is the fastest "OOB compatible" card for Hackintosh gaming. I do see some people saying the nvidia 480 works, others that it does not. Benchmarks shows the 480 faster - but I really want a "buy it on Newegg, plug it in and no fussing around for 2 weeks getting it to work with Lion" experience. Can anyone recommend the fastest working graphics card for Lion? I have a Sandy Bridge setup. Mostly play World of Warcraft in 2560x1600. Thanks. Depends on your definition of "OOB". all I had to do was ad the model# (in my case, it was 1080) to the nVidia driver. Portal 2 ran like a champ at 1920x1080 maxed settings.
