You might want to check out TonyMacx86's #####, they have a supported solution. Just pull the DSDT from their database for your motherboard and follow the instructions on the forum. Unfortunately, I can validate that for the Rev 1.0 board, none of the basic DSDT's from that site enable sound. I've tried the Snow Leopard HDA and my pre-existing DSDT which worked fine, and it's still broken. What kexts do I need to enable this audio? Thanks! I got the sound working by using ##### for the post install. You select the Realtek: ALC8xxxHDA Apple HDA rollback Non-dsdt HDA Enabler untick all of the boxes except the 889 Reboot. However, if you select an output device the default "Select Sound Output Device" or internal speakers, the sound works. But if you select Line Out it does not work. After the coming combo update, you will have to redo the sound because the update breaks the sound. The installer says to not check the ALC8xxxHDA and Non-dsdt HDA Enabler, did i miss something or read it wrong? Also, if i do the roll back, i am doing a roll back to a pre lion driver right, isn't that going to cause problems on lion? Also, if i do the roll back, i am doing a roll back to a pre lion driver right, isn't that going to cause problems on lion? The installer says that if you use a dsdt then you do not check the enabler. I did not use a dsdt because I am not sure if it will work with Lion. But if you check the first 3: ALC8xxxHDA Apple HDA rollback Non-dsdt HDA Enabler and untick all of the boxes except the 889, the sound works.
