jasonc23
So ive found my way to the "Configure SATA as" option in my bios but the only 2 options i have are 'IDE' and 'Disabled'. Im really not sure where to go from here as im obviously trying to set it as AHCI. Gringo Vermelho
Depending on your hardware, AHCI mode is not a requirement for installing or running OS X on a PC. What make/model SATA controller? jasonc23
How would i check that? I also tried booting into the install disk without AHCI but i just got the spinning boot screen and a no entry sign Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/262759-sata-configuration-issue/#findComment-1717559 Share on other sites
