dustified1234567
My friend has an Imac G5 and he burnt os10 to a DVD for me to try and install on my PC. I put the DVD in my drive and it shows nothing is on the DVD but if I put it back in his machine it shows what he put on it. Why is this? Guest bikedude880
That DVD your friend burned is not a patched version of the install DVD. What you have is a recovery install DVD designed specifically to only work on Apple hardware. In order to install onto your PC, you need to track down either the JaS or Myzar DVD. dustified1234567
it is a JaS OS 10.4.7 that is what it says. Is that the one that you were talking about because thats the one that I put in and it didn't work. Guest bikedude880
My mistake. If you try to view the contents of the DVD in Windows, you will not see much, if anything. The reason behind this is the DVD is formatted with the HFS+ system, one that Windows does not recognize. However, it should boot just fine. dustified1234567
Do i have to do anything to boot it or should it boot by itself. I put it in and nothing happens at all. I can't view the files and it also does not boot. However windows does recognize that there is a disc in there but just nothing on it.
