bonfilio Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 Not sure if this is the right place for it.. but meh.. Any thinking that it will be possible to cludge Rosetta from SL into Lion? I know most people say 'time to upgrade your apps', etc.. but that's just really not a route I'd like to take ($$). I still fire up Cinema 4D R8.5 regularly [ppc, was $1800+ new out of pocket - an upgrade is about $2500 minimum] as it works great under Rosetta and it flies - even under emulation - on hardware now. ifrit05 Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 No, it wouldn't be possible, the frameworks and other things needed for Rosetta are completely striped from Lion. Stay with SL if you need to run PPC apps. PS. This should be in the Mac OS X subforum under Apple World.
