dlk357
World Book Encyclopedia 2011 does a check for screen res (1024x768 or greater) and my Acer Aspire One ZG5 isn't high enough(1024x600). I have scoured through the plists for the program to find something about screen resolution and have come up empty handed. ScreenresX4 didn't really help though someone on dell mini claimed to use that with leopard to get an earlier version to open. My details are: Acer Aspire One ZG5 using SL. Any help would be much appreciated. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/262256-cheating-screen-resolution/ Share on other sites
roberdo
I had the same problem on my EeePC installing EOS Utilitys for CANON Cameras. Native resolution 1024x600 was not sufficient. With a SW tool called 'SwitchRex' I solved the problem. You can download and test it for free. With SwitchResX you can set up higher resolutions (e.g. 1024x800), the screen will be cut - but installation went fine. Another option: try to attach an external display. dlk357
Thanks. SwitchResX 3.8.7 worked just fine. I would advise people to use this one and not the newer SwitchResX4, as it didn't work for me (which may not be entirely due to my own fault). So after switching display res it launches fine, but then after it has launched I switch back to native 1024x600 The window is perfectly fit for the screen! People can also look into Window Wrangler which I use for GarageBand It allows you to move the window around for those applications whose minimum window size are just too big!
