  1. I lost my Lion

You have to set the OSX Partition to 'active', then you will be able to start OSX and Win by Chameleon bootloader. Another solution: Install easybcd in windows, add your OSX to the bootloader with this tool and you can choose when booting which OS should run. http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1
  2. Lion. Clean Install or Update

It's possible and I did it. But it was only possible booting Lion-Installer on USB-Stick.
  3. Good news regarding 10.7.1: Update works without any problems. Rollback of AppleHDA is needed - as always.
  4. Did you try this: USB Boot: Regarding the USB Problem: I had the same when using the latest chameleon installer (Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r1083) therefore I took an older installer (Chameleon-2.0-RC2-r640) which worked. After that I replaced the boot file on the USB with latest chameleon release.
  5. Sound: It's easy, just save your existing AppleHDA which works with 10.6.8 and replace Lion AppleHDA after the update. 10.7 works fine on G41M however I experienced some troubles with a few applications - but this is LION related and not an issue of this board. 6. Cheating Screen Resolution

I had the same problem on my EeePC installing EOS Utilitys for CANON Cameras. Native resolution 1024x600 was not sufficient. With a SW tool called 'SwitchRex' I solved the problem. You can download and test it for free. With SwitchResX you can set up higher resolutions (e.g. 1024x800), the screen will be cut - but installation went fine. Another option: try to attach an external display.
  7. 10.6.8 officially released

Got it: Added EFI-String for Ethernet to boot.plist for my eeePC now everything is working, no more "No GUID is available" in App Store. For my Gigabyte Hack I combined GFX and Ethernet-String with OSX86Tools and put in boot.plist as well, with success. Could be helpful for other guys, EthernetBuiltIn=Yes, deleting NetworkInterface.plist and so on... did not work for me. EFI String does help for me.
  8. 10.6.8 officially released

I did it the same way for my eeePC 1000H. Funny to see that I have the same problem with my other Hack: When accessing App Store to install a software an error occurs: No GUID available... Already mentioned solutions for this issue did not work for me.
  9. 10.6.8 officially released

Usual solutions did not work for me: set EthernetBuiltIn=Yes, deleting NetworkInterfacePlist, PCIRooUID ... no success. Finally I found the reason. In order to get my nVidia 9800GT properly working I am using an EFI-String in boot.plist. When I only use GraphicsEnabler I must always attach the VGA conncector, which is annoying because I am using the second DVI connector. The EFI string gives correct NVCAP values and therefore I want keep it. However without the EFI string in boot.plist everything is working and App Store gives no further error. Switching back to EFI string gives the same error than before: No GUID... At least I know the reason - without a perfect solution.
  10. App Store Error: No GUID is available

I have the same problem: No GUID available whenever I try to access the App Store. Usual solutions did not work for me: set EthernetBuiltIn=Yes, deleting NetworkInterfacePlist ... no success. 11. 10.6.8 works without any issues. You have to keep and replace AppleHDA after updating in order to get sound.
  12. 10.6.8 officially released

Gigabyte G41M-E2SL worked fine except Audio, had to replace AppleHDA. One minor issue: App Store does not work anymore: no GUID available. I delete NetworkInterface.plist a couple of times, no success after each reboot. iTunes works. Any ideas?
  13. Same here, 10.6.7 is working, updated with no issue - everything is working.
  14. 10.6.6 released

Update with Gigabyte G41M-ES2L worked. No Sleep Enabler was used. G41M-ESL E8200 Nvidia 9800GT App Store works in the same way as iTunes on a Hackintosh as well.
  15. Update to 10.6.6: everthing went fine (using DSDT coming from ridgeline for E8200, no Sleep Enabler was used). App Store is working with iTunes-Account.
