Raiders Posted July 12, 2011 Share Posted July 12, 2011 Hello, Recently I got my Hackintosh functioning, however there are a few things that still aren't working. One of these things is the webcam. In System Profiler, the webcam shows up as follows: HP Webcam: Product ID: 0xb015 Vendor ID: 0x04f2 (Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd.) Version: 6.06 Serial Number: SN0001 Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec Manufacturer: Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd. Location ID: 0xfd400000 Current Available (mA): 500 Current Required (mA): 500 However, when I open Photo Booth, for example, the webcam does not work (however, flashes blue as if it is working) and I am greeted with a black screen. Does anyone know if there is an available kext/fix so that my webcam works? Thanks, in advance. Thanks, in advance. follow my guide in signature and read about how i managed my webcam ( i am sure it is one and the same like yours ) . it WILL work afterwards .
