Beakster
Hey, Does anyone know if there are any tutorials out there for creating a OS X Maintenance/Recovery USB stick. I'm thinking a USB stick which you can use to boot into an OS X desktop which has things like Disk Utility and Terminal (similar to booting the Installation DVD) but also things like Carbon Copy Cloaner and maybe some other tools which could be useful if your main partition OS X installation becomes problematic. So say that you install some new kexts and can't boot any more, this would let you have a full desktop with tools to repair or restore your main install. Does such a thing exist? 3.14r2
You may do a basic OS X installation to an USB stick (8Gb or more) to have a completely working OS on the go. I have Leopard 10.5.1 installed to a 8Gb Kingston stick. I might not be the fastest (speed wise) solution but it is reliable.
