sirbow2 Posted July 5, 2011 Share Posted July 5, 2011 these are the Errors BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 no such file or directory and Bug:launchctl.c:2408 (24687):30: cdefd =open (g_overrides_db_patch.... What ive tried: using: lion GM W and W/O: SMBIOS -macpro3,1 -imac8,1 W and W/O: -x W and W/O: DSDT W and W/O: i386 W and W/O: HDD's W and W/O:GFX enabler W: modded osinstall from maldon guide W: Pci root= 1/0 W and W/O: Arch 64bit treid replacing var folder like packages folder method. it all results in : Im stuck so are many others, have you gotten past this error? post your experiences! Maybe you have to load FakeSMC.kext manually... sirbow2 Posted July 5, 2011 Author Share Posted July 5, 2011 whatdya mean manually? its in extensions? do you mean like SLE of the usb? ok so last time i booted i saw fakesmc in the boot up like 17 keys initialized or something. ao i just figures Fakesmc was in EE of my usb, but after your post i checked it and it wasnt in EE?! so i put it in EE and SLE of the usb. now i get stuck at Fakesmc: something... I used to have that error - "bootcache.playlist not found". But after trying so many things, only by replacing the bootloader with PC EFI by netkas (specifically the Lion only version) only did I get past that issue. Maybe this is a mobo specific problem.
