Everything is working great on my OSx86 now, aside from iMovie and GarageBand.

In iMovie, i get terrible lag when playing back a clip I have imported, but it runs fine the rest of the time.

In GarageBand, I start off with a red playhead, and after adding only a few loops, it comes up with the error:

"Part of the song was not played

This song has too many tracks, effects, or notes to be played in real-time.

To optimize performance, see the 'Optimizing GarageBand performance' page in GarageBand Help."

I believe these issues are related.

My specs, in case they help:

2Ghz Celeron Processor (however OSX detects it as a 300Mhz :( )

768MB Ram

256MB Ati Radeon 9600Pro

USB Sound Card

Any one got ideas on how I can improve the performance of these two programs

BeamSync is some sort of graphics accelerator/tool/thing, I'm not entirely sure. To disable it, I used part of the Quartz Debug tool.

I don't believe it makes a difference to iMovie, but I will double-check and let you know if it does make a difference. As far as I heard on these forums, disabling BeamSync only makes OSx86 run faster, never slowly. But I may be wrong.

Thanks, and if anyone has any additional info that may help, it would be greatly appreciated :D
