thenextfowl
I own a HP Pavilion DV5, and need to get the sound working. I have VM'ed it, and it was previously working on 10.4.8 My questions are: Can I possibly just route the sound through VMWARE, and not mess with kexts, or can I get kexts off my 10.4.8 JaS image. Also, it would be insanely appreciated if someone could provide me the kexts if neither of these methods work. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/260763-help-getting-sound-working-idt-high-definition/ Share on other sites

No, you can't. It's not possible, VMWare emulates it's own sound card, it doesn't use yours. Try this for sound drivers, a simple search on the forum gave me the topic. It's not hard to search ya know. : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t=#entry1284281 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/260763-help-getting-sound-working-idt-high-definition/#findComment-1703553 Share on other sites
