Crashing during installation on my osx86, snow leopard no longer bootable afterwards.

What is your base install? I would like to know if it's worth installing it.

I just got OSX 10.6.3 to work with iATKOS S3 v2.

AMD 3700+

Nforce chipset (works out of box with iATKOS nvidia drivers for wired lan and chipset / sata)

Saphire ATI Radeon 4760HD (though no multi monitor support or hdmi support - I do have QE and 1920x1080 res)

SBLive Value PCI Soundcard (working with kxAudio driver project)

Qoopz 10.3.0 kernel

Chameleon v2 RC5 bootloader

EasyBCD configured NT bootloader to dual boot Win7 and OSX off of same disk.

Do you think it's worth a try at this shot? 10.6.7 is safe though right, you just have to back up two kexts regarding to io / usb and restore them before reboot to not loose keyboard and mouse from what I've read. (Made that mistake once before and had to reformat the partition and start over).

Hi, upgraded my hackintosch and ..... problems!!!!

My HackMAC:

- HP nc6400 (Vanilla)

- Snow 10.6.7 worked fine

- Broadcom Wi-Fi BCM4311 a/b/g

Software update to 10.6.8

After reboot:

- Boot's process extremely looooong

- OSX still recognized my Wireless BCM but it doesn't find any wireless network and when I open "start network connections" take a really long time. When I change some options it takes now several seconds to apply or change window. I tried to remove and readd my Wireless without success.

- Ethernet Lan doesn't recognized more the insert of cable

- Not more USB functionality (only mouse and keyboard)

- All in OSX is incredible sloooooow

I have reinstall IONetworkingFamily.kext from 10.6.7 but nothing happened

Some other feedback about?

Thanks

I updated to 10.6.8 got a KP near the end of install where "Registering" rebooted and it started but rebooted on its own before it got to the desktop, restarted again and it worked... but I don't think it installed fully because of the KP near the end of install where it says registering stuff....

Luckily I did a Superduper! backup and restored back to 10.6.7

Got KP in VoodoHDA

Conflict with AppleHDA. Since you are using VoodooHDA, delete AppleHDA.

Your problem is not with IONetworkingFamily.kext but with Apple80211Monitor.bundle

(/System/Library/SystemConfiguration/Apple80211Monitor.bundle)

You'll need to replaced it with the one from 10.6.7

There's a better fix for that (one of the reasons why I was trying to send everyone here to this thread earlier):
