mnfesq Posted June 23, 2011 Share Posted June 23, 2011 As you can see from the attached screenshot, the OS recognizes that I have 6 GB of memory but it shows 2 GB in one slot and only 256 MB in the other. In fact, I have 2 GB in one slot and 4 GB in the other. Activity Monitor shows that about 1 GB of memory is in use and that about 5 GB remain unused, so I know the OS is accessing all 6 GB, but it is just being mis-reported in About This Mac.
