supernov
Hi guys 'nd girlz, Another question about wireless networks. I recently purchased a Sitecom 802.11b/g card with a RT2561ST chipset (I believe that's from ralink). It isn't recognised at all however, even with their own osx drivers. There IS a pci card present in the hardware profiler, with an address of 0x0000e0 (or so) and no description. I tried a couple of drivers, but to no avail. Would like to know if there's a solution at all.... Thanks! Rammjet
I recently purchased a Sitecom 802.11b/g card with a RT2561ST chipset (I believe that's from ralink). It isn't recognised at all however, even with their own osx drivers. According to a Google search, Sitecom may be using Texas Instrument chips now. Could you look at the card and see if there is a model number somewhere, like "WL-115" or something similar? supernov
Sure thing... WL-171. But the chip I see has the Ra logo on it with RT2561 as ID. wesley
Are you using the driver that's linked in one of the posts in this forum? The one at Ralink's own website is outdated. mifki
Most drivers yuo find are PPC, wait for a Intel version to come out Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26015-sitecom-pci-wireless-54g-network-card/#findComment-177376 Share on other sites
supernov
Yeah, I thought that last thing could be the case. Although it does run and osx doesn't say anything about it being ppc..
