ziv Posted August 28, 2006 Share Posted August 28, 2006 my config.. amd 3200+ 64bit AM2 DDR2 667MHZ 1G ASROCK NF6G-VISTA NVIDIA 7600 GS PCI-E 1X ATA 120GB HDD 1X SATAII 160GB HDD when i boot from cd rom>enter black screen and call me press any key to install or F8 to enter starup...... i press any keys or press F8(-v)....it also hold on the black screen and show me my config and something i dont know....apple....i never see it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

StarForge Posted August 28, 2006 Share Posted August 28, 2006 Ahh a Kernel Panic. This happens when the system is trying to boot using a kernel that it probably doesn't like. Check that you've selected the right kernel. Ie. SSE2 or SSE3. Choose one only. There might be some AMD patches in the install DVD as well (I'm not sure, I'm an Intel user). I also see in the kernel panic screen that it is complaining about the number of cpus. When you boot the DVD, hit F8 and enter this at the command prompt: cpus=1 See if that helps. NO...it havent give me any see2,see3...etc to choose I see that this is happening when you are booting the DVD prior to the installation. Go out and play... 000 i have try many version... 10.4.4 10.4.5 10.4.6 10.4.6 so i think the problem isnt on the software...but i dont know my burning method..is ture or not.. i just use nero to burn the image out.. i put in the dvd rom and boot form dvd driver...the screen show me "press any keys to install or pressF8 for manual",i press F8 then type -v.....it appear"Kernel Panic" message,...type -s -x...also like that...but when i type"-s -x cpus=1"it havent got any Kernel Panic message...but still hold on the black screen... ......
