It just makes the post confusing to read. ok sorry update i installed ideneb v1.3 10.5.5 and all installed and boots ok. however i have no Ethernet (greyed out box) or sound. had to do the .AppleSetupDone trick to get past the post-installer. Is there a .kext floating around to help out for the ethernet and sound please. specs are 4GB ram, Intel i7-720QM Quad Core, duel ATI Radeon HD 4870 Graphics, i think its IDT 92HD73C1 for onboard audio. and onboard lan is Intel 825xxx series. thankyou another update. got my Ethernet working by trying a different Ethernet kext. just need to sort out sound now tryed about 4 different kexts ( appleHDA, HDAenabler, legacyHDA & voodooHDA) still no sound through internal speakers. system profiler says Intel High Definition Audio: Device ID: 0x1028043A Audio ID: 12 Available Devices: Microphone: Connection: Internal Speaker: Connection: Internal Microphone: Connection: 1/8 inch Jack on system pref / sound / it says no output devices found. anyone help Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/259475-1052-osx-no-sound/#findComment-1699176 Share on other sites
