Chipstik
I can't even eject it, because the button on the drive doesn't work in OSX, and I can't find it to drag it to the recycle bin to eject it. As mentioned in the the title System Profiler can see it fine, I just can't access it. Does it need it's own drivers? 3.14r2
Have you tried to eject it via Disk Utility? There is an option in Finder's preferences to show/hide optical drives from desktop (as well as hard drives/external drives). A CD/DVD disk (if it can be mounted/read by OS X) should be present in the left side part of a Finder window. You can eject it by pressing an eject button near the disk name. In my notebook F12 key also works as an eject button for CD/DVD drive. Chipstik
Ah, yes. I managed to eject the disk via Disk Utility, and replace it with the retail version of Snow Leopard - Recognised it fine! Must have just been the BootCD I used, thanks....
