I installed Snow Leopard on my system using Hazard's 10.6.6 Distro on my Qosmio x505 Notebook

It's got a nVidia GTX 460M GFX Card an Core i5

I had to remove all of the firewire kexts in order to get it to boot.

Every time I boot my system I get a grey loading bar that takes about 3 mins.

This is what happens when the system boots. I think my system is running an fsck check on each boot.

Is there anyway to stop it from doing this?

It is loading all kexts on every boot instead of loading Extensions.mkext (it shouldn't normally do so). You might run a Disk Repair via Disk Utility. Other thing to consider is to check if there is "-f" boot flag present in apple.com.Boot.plist.

In any case, it is not a healthy practice do remove many kexts at once.
