Okay, so I've been trying to install iDeneb 1.3 OS X 10.5.5 on my old computer for 2 days now.

I would give specs, but I don't know them - it's an iQon Tesco03 with 2.9GHz 512MB RAM and 120/160GB HDD.

So I installed a few times but kept getting kernel panics and it would just not boot.

I wiped the drive, reinstalled with different settings, I read somewhere to just play until you get the right ones.

Well, it actually gets to the Apple Boot Screen, where the circle(gear) spins. The computer makes noises like it's loading files and booting, but then the gear stops spinning and the computer doesn't load any further. I haven't got to the actual screen where you can create a user account either. I just can not get it to go any further. I've tried in safe mode single user mode and also the-F mode which I think stops it from running cached things. Either way, I can not get any further, can someone please help me? I'd really like to be able to get it working :/

Many thanks in advance

It's most likely a SATA/IDE controller error. Boot with the -v (verbose mode) flag. It should stop at "Still waiting for root device".

Also, list some more of your computer specs, that computer info is kinda vague.

Also, it sounds off-brand-ish. You might have a hard time installing Mac on that.

I've also tried with the -v boot, it doesn't get to 'Still waiting for root device'. It says starting dsom or something, I can't remember, I'm reinstalling a sec. But either way, it hangs there.

I don't know anymore specs than that, I'm sorry. I can't find any info on the internet about it because the company bust a few years back 0.o

Is there a program I can download to a disk to get specs, because I currently have no OS..working that is.

Thanks for fast reply!
