jameshyun
So I've read many guides especially one thread that specifically targets my notebook: xps 1340 and finally was able to boot using the usb retail method (after many failed attempts with boot 132 and much wasted cds). My method was: 1: restore sl to usb 2: install stella's snow magic v3 3: boot with usb a priority Everything its fine and boots normally. I get to disk utility to position my drives and notice my keyboard doesn't work. So I find that adding the keyboards kext with the extension .mkext into extra/extensions should do the trick. This time its a grey screen when I boot. I've also readthat I should try and disable legacy usb in bios but I have no such option. I apologize for the typos, this was typed via swype on my nexus one. Stella's snow magic adds an extra folder with extensions.mkext so I tried rebuilding that with the keyboard kext and same thing, grey screen. Any help would be great, thanks.
