andre56
Hi, would really appreciate some help. I have just recently got an Alienware M17X R3. I would like to put OS X on it but I'm not really sure how to go about it, quite new to the whole OSX86 thing, done it only once before. First how do I install it, do I use ##### and a retail snow leopard or a custom snow leopard image? Then how do I get everything working? My spec is as follows... i7-2720QM (sandy bridge) 4GB RAM 128GB Crucial M4 SSD + 750GB HDD 2GB ATI Radeon 6970M + Intel 3000 Integrated I think my ethernet is Atheros AR8151 Audio I think is IDT 92HD73 As far as I know the 6970M is not supported which puzzles me as the imac has the same card. I don't mind though as long as I can get the IGP working, just want it to run in native 1080p. Audio and internet are the other 2 things I want working, don't really care about anything else, and of course the CPU. Any help would be much appreciated. ninditsu
try ##### legacy and ##### method. at the tonymacx86 forums you can contact a guy named tazzix that has a working install using the built-in intel gpu on the sandy bridge chipset, which you seem to have. and if you want, try installing the ati kexts first.
