ifrit05
We can't help if you have no details for us, although it's probably a SATA/IDE Controller error/lack of a driver (kext). At the boot prompt for the installation DVD type "-v" without quotes, boot, and see where it stops loading. (or tell us any error it has, i.e. "Still waiting for root device). PS. Your system specs would be nice also. dothacker
Motherboard Biostar TA890GXB HD There's your problem right there. have you checked the SATA settings if it's on AHCI? PS - have you ever thought of going the RETAIL INSTALL route? icepik
No I havnt checked any of those settings since the earlier post saying I needed an IDE dvdrom ive been searching and using all resources to get one but if theres away around that it would be very much appreciated, and retail version I actually have always wanted a Mac and have money to invest in one but I want a hands on approach to it before actually investing to make sure it is what I want... dothacker
RETAIL INSTALL = Installing RETAIL DVD to a non-mac hardware... doesn't mean you buy your Mac...
