skredii
Hello, First I like to thanks JaS for all his efforts to bring us a 10.4.7 install DVD. Keep up the good work, I'm sure you'll be back for Leo! Anyway, I have just a little issue with the graphics, they are completely scrambled. All works well in safe mode, but I'd like to fix that graphic issue. If someone got a solution for that little bug, please let me know. i'm using GMA 950 graphic card, normally it is supported out f the box... Cheerios. jb45
I had the same problem with 10.4.7, so reinstalled with the support for gma900 in the patches section, seemed to work OK (the display was actually working). 10.4.6 worked with just the standard patches so I'm not sure what was changed on the 10.4.7 installer. jb45
It's the gma950 so it should be the same as yours. I'm not sure why it doesn't work without the gma900 patch. You could always just go back to 10.4.6 and run the update patch for 10.4.7, that worked flawlessly for me.
zedzed
Same scrambled graphics problem here. Using Intel D945GNTLR mobo with GMA950 graphics chip Installed JaS 10.4.7 but did not put in GMA900 support After install and load all we see are blocky graphics Is there any way to go in and edit anything to make the graphics work or do we have to reinstall? Guest bikedude880
I believe a reinstall is in order for yoo guys. I had the exact same problem with the ASUS P5LD2-VM and the GMA900 package cleared it right up.
zedzed
Reinstalled with GMA900 support. Here is the wild thing now. Running XBench on 10.4.6 I got a UI score of 20-somthing. Running XBench on 10.4.7 I got a UI score of 200+ Wow - has anyone else seen this sort of improvement in XBench? Overall score went from 60 to 105 - mostly due to better video scores. Guest bikedude880
Yeah, if you check out my signature, you can see the benchmark from 10.4.6 (still)
A Huge Bear
I had the same issue with my first install of 10.4.7. The fix for me was to install the GMA900 drivers, as well as the SSE2 and SSE3 patches (assuming you have both SSE2 and SSE3).
nyaede
This so works...it's really cool. Thanks jb45
Rammjet
as well as the SSE2 and SSE3 patches (assuming you have both SSE2 and SSE3) The installer overwrites the same files. So whichever the installer installs last is what you get. If the installer installs SSE2 and then installs SSE3, the installation of SSE3 overwrites the files installed by SSE2, so you end up with SSE3. If the installer installs SSE3 first and then SSE2, you end up with SSE2. So only choose one of them, whichever is the capability of your processor.
