You can run tiger 10.4.8 pretty good on that machine.

I doubt it that the 10.6.6 experience would be good...

Thanks for the fast reply. I really want to have the latest version of os x. how about this build http://amzn.com/w/10PBD9NHP5AWO

All i want is a cheap decent hackintosh. im going to later on upgrade it with a sandybridge mobo and processor. but that could be a year from now so i want it to be pretty fast and decent now. Can you recommend me a cheap video card.

Also how is performance on amd hackintosh. can it run all the same apps and everything. Is it glitchy?

If you want a decent experience with a 10.6.6 hackintosh, and a cheap one as well. You will need 2GB of ram, preferably a 160GB+ SATA HDD, Intel Core 2 Duo (not compared to a intel core 2 quad or i5-i7). and maybe a Radeon HD 5670. All this together should be about 300-400..

Im trying to build a hackintosh for about $300 and i seem to have reached that goal perfectly. i havnt built it yet or purshased anything but here is what might be my build http://www.amazon.com/wishlist/DBGPA8UR3KK...=cm_wl_rlist_go

its pretty similar to this guys build

so it should be able to run 10.6.7. I think im going to use Hazards 10.6.6i distro because it seems the easiest to get running on amd. Is there a better easier method? This is my first computer i build so just wondering whats the difference form getting 2x 2gb of ram vs 1x 4gb?
