You have 2 ways of installing bro. you could: Buy an external USB, CD/DVD drive and install the retail Snow Leoprad (10.6) retail DVD using it. And then download the 10.6.7 combo update from Apple. Or you could, Make a bootable USB thumb drive that contains the Snow Leoaprd (10.6) retail Image. And then download the 10.6.7 combo update from Apple. If you want to use the USB Thumb drive way, you will have to follow this guide. Good luck!! jibin Posted May 21, 2011 Author Share Posted May 21, 2011 Thankz for the reply bro ...... i had dwnlded 10.5 SL which is an iso of 7.5 gb .. but wen extracted it is just shoein 400+mb.. where can i dwnld the 10.6 retail version.. ?? jibin Posted May 22, 2011 Author Share Posted May 22, 2011 ok .... i`ve burned the SL (10.5) image to a dvd and tried booting my mac ...but it doesnt work ... i pressed alt+tab at the start and selected the DVD drive to boot ... it just restarts .. next .. i formatted my usb thumdrive to HS+ and used a s/w called macdrive to copy the files from the image to usb (we could see the mac files using the option in macdrive ... but its just 1.7 GB !!!) tried bootin from usb ... not workin either ..... Applications > Utilities > Remote Install OS X > follow the prompts.
