Configuration for PT9

Hello all and foremost thank you for this forum and the information more useful.

I'm trying to mount a forceful enough configuration to run a ProTools 9.

Here are two configurations where I stopped.

The small

*******************

Case IV sonnati

Motherboard ASUS P7P55D - 1156

i5 760 processor

Cooler Noctua NH-D14

Memory Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600 CL7 6GB (3x2Go)

GeForce 9800 GT Silent Gigabyte Cell

Seagate 1TB HDD S-ATA III 32mb

*******************

and

The big one

*******************

Case IV sonnati

Asus motherboard P8P67 (Rev. B3)

2600K i7 processor

Cooler Noctua NH-D14

Memory Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600 CL7 6GB (3x2Go)

GeForce 9800 GT Silent Gigabyte Cell

Seagate 1TB HDD S-ATA III 32mb

*******************

As you can see, I try to have a configuration quietest possible, since the computer will be very close to my mix position.

What do you think about of those configurations?

In the future I would also like to invest in HD cards and a UAD. I've read here it should not pose any problem except that the UAD work in 32 bits, it comes from the hardware or drivers?

I need a system that works perfectly (sleep, FireWire, USB, Ethernet). In the comic after OSX86 this material works properly. Someone else you it back on the motherboard and graphics card?

Thank you all for your responses.

PS: Sorry for my poor english. I'm french. Nobody is perfect !!!

My advice is to learn how to use Google effectively. You want to use

ProTools 9 on a fairly new motherboard; this really narrows down your

database of experts. Here are a couple of results to show you how

productive Google can be. On this forum, you are searching a small area.

If you are not a gamer, your video card will do, otherwise these guys

preferred the HD 5770. Some people arrive here with unrealistic

expectations of guarantees; your project will take at least a few

weeks unless you are a very competent geek.

This is a post from the ProTools 9 forum who has a Mac which will be

easier to work with than a Hackintosh. The situation is complicated.
