mnp2005 Posted May 21, 2011 Share Posted May 21, 2011 I'm getting the "waiting for root device" error, and I found this article: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...ATA_hard_drives At the beginning it says: "Note: there is now a patch for the install DVD which apparently pre-hacks the kext file for you, allowing you to install natively directly from the DVD. I've not tried this yet, if anyone has feel free to edit this comment here and note how well it worked for you" Does anyone know how to do this, or where I can find more information on it? Hey, Why are you heading towards a Tiger (10.4) distro? why not go for Leopard or Snow Leopard? (10.5 or 10.6) Could you write down your specs for us please? then I can help you as much as I can.
