What is the BEST Hackintosh Build?

So currently I have about $400 USD Saved up... This summer I plan to get a small part time job which I am hoping will rack up about another $200 Anyways... I plan to build a Hackintosh considering I can't really pull 1k+ out of my as* for a iMac.

 

For installation I want to be able to use TonyMac's [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] & a Standard Snow Leopard disc. Would that build be fully compatible with the latest Snow Leopard? Possibly even Lion?

 

Would an Intel i5 3.1 Ghz Quad Core (Sandy Bridge) be compatible? I would like to get rid of that i7

 

EDIT 1: If you "Guru's" have any better reccomendations could you please link parts that are listed on either Newegg or Tiger Direct?

http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/search/label/CustoMac first one is $683. May be cheaper now too. and 100% works. But obviously, slightly last gen.
