XLR
I have two G41MT-ES2L Rev 1.3 boards: the first one works ok with ALC888B drivers (AppleHDA+Legacy), and the second one works in Win7 only, but no sound in SL. Tried DSDT Auto Patcher with various ALC888B and ALC887 drivers, tried removing the ALC888B code from Auto Patcher leaving HDEF only and trying all the drivers again, but no avail... What can be the problem? And what's the right way to diagnose it? Thanks in advance. You might want to try this: "I used the appleazaliaaudio kext and works fine but you can try the rollback through ##### azillia (for audio) ----i think full name AppleAzaliaAudio.kext.zip (i installed with kext helper)" This worked for my audio on a GA-G41M-ES2L motherboard. XLR
I tried this AppleAzaliaAudio.kext (from E/E and then from S/L/E) with AppleHDA from 10.6.2 but there's still no audio input/output under System Preferences/Sound... XLR
Tried VoodooHDA 2.7.2 and there's finally an audio output, but it has nasty clicks... Now the problem is: when i select "Use SSE2" in VoodooHDA preference panel to disable the clicks, it doesn't saves my settings. After each restart i have to reconfigure VoodooHDA again. Is there any solution for this one? Installed both kexts in S/L/E, changed the following in DSDT: (0x88 to 0x87 and ALC888B to ALC887) And this what i got: Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257347-g41mt-es2l-sound-problems-please-help-troubleshooting/#findComment-1687117 Share on other sites
ytrox
check your layoutID in dsdt. change to "layout-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x0C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, so change your 888 LayoutID in /ALC8xxHDA.kext/Contents/info.plist to 12. XLR
so change your 888 LayoutID in /ALC8xxHDA.kext/Contents/info.plist to 12. There's two inasances of "888 LayoutID" in info.plist, and couple of instances of "888 PathMapID". Which ones should i change from 888 to 12?
