Enjoy!

Note: I never had this problem, but if CPU usage is always 100% even when idle

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just delete the file /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext

Now rebuild the kext cache with:

sudo kextcache -system-caches

Reboot and the CPU usage should be normal now

64 bit version of OSX can only be installed if the Host computer has VT-x in the system BIOS.

Most up to date CPUs i.e Core2Duo and up and only Intel have this setting.

All the best,

Sorry for the double post.

Hi mate,

I am having performance issues when trying to install SL on Virtualbox under Ubuntu 10.10 32bit.

It seems to slow down my system to a crawl.

Do you or anybody else know if it would be best for me to install Ubuntu 10.10 64bit to increase performance?

I have installed SL on VMWare on Windpws XP 32bit in the past and that worked really smooth.

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you for your time.

All the best,

NSCXP2005

How much RAM are you allocating for your virtual machine?

...

This was a great help to me in getting Snow Leopard going on a VB 4.0.6 VM in Mandriva 2010.2.

However, I loose the mouse as soon as the Mac updates are installed and the machine restarted. Do you have any suggestions as to what to look at/for in order to solve this?

rACMAAC,

What version of Mandriva are using? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

How is performance in virtualbox and the system?

Also what are your host system specs?

Thank you for your time.

All the best,

Solved this myself by 'updating' to a 4.0.8 version direct from virtualbox.org - my Mac is running fine at 10.6.3 and installing iworks and ilife (I decided to install them prior to updating any OS software).

Gee I thought ubuntu 11.0 was perfect to use a vmware osx situation...

But windows 7 ultimate 64 bits is better for hosting vmware with osx in vmware...

especially graphics are not working even preview app etc etc...

Using vmware vga 1.2.3 etc but no improvement... would a clean install help???

[4gb hp elitebook 8440p core i5, vt etc]

Ciao Val
