ghw9132
I just received my new mobo/cpu -- $199 mac asrock board and celeron d 310. I burned the marklar iso "as is" just to have a clean copy, then patched the iso with oah750/oah750d from maxxus v5. Both the patched and unpatched dvds boot the same-- kernel panic then Waiting for remote debugger connection. kdp_poll: no debugger device PLATFORM=PCX86 just causes the kernel panic to appear on top of the multi-language reboot message. (even in verbose mode) Any suggestions? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2573-need-help-installing-on-asrock-dual915g/ Share on other sites

ghw9132
Problem Solved. I had enabled usb legacy support in order to be able to get past the 'boot:" prompt, however this was the cause of the problem. After disabling it in the bios, I connected a ps2 keyboard in addition to my wireless USB keyboard and mouse. Once i hit enter on the ps2 keyboard, the install began, and the usb took over. Everything seems to work except sound. (i thought that should work out of the box with this motherboard?). Anyway, it's off to the forums i go. uidetiger
I bought myself the same motherboard and it works fine. You just have to start it up with platform=ACPI because it's an APCI system board. uide I fixed the sound problem changing the bios parameter from AUTO to YES for the internal AC97 sound device. uide Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2573-need-help-installing-on-asrock-dual915g/#findComment-17971 Share on other sites

I installed the ac97 kext from the darwin cd, no modification to the .plist file nessesary. Also in regard to the other post, my computer will not boot if i choose acpi or x86pc.
