boullusgoullus
Hi everyone I hope you'll be able to help me, because I'm facing a bothering problem... So, here's the story : about one week ago, I installed successfully OSX 10.6.3, using the retail Snow Leopard DVD and some EFI CD to boot the install ; then I installed Chameleon, many softwares I needed, and everything works fine now! Graphic card recognized, as well as the WiFi USB Key and the sound card Here's my config : - CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2,53Ghz - Graphic Card Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 1Go - one Hitachi Hard drive for Mac (partitioned in GUID), the other one for Windows and data - Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L - Sound : Terratec Aureon 5.1 PCI - WiFi : D-Link DWL-G122 I recently updated to 10.6.7 using Software Updater... I don't know if the problem is linked But I know for certain that, when I launch iTunes, the OS freezes completely (it's even impossible to move the mouse or to use the keyboard )... the problem doesn't solve from itself, so I'm forced to reboot using the reset button on the PC case I've only noticed that the problem appears when launching iTunes. I've seen many freezes problems on other forums, but everything that is said as a solution is to repair Disk permissions (what I've done)... It's really bothersome because now the problem appears EVERYTIME I use iTunes (very often, so)... a couple of days ago it only appeared sometimes Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257295-osx-snow-leopard-freezes/ Share on other sites
Acro_Design
just thinking outside the box here but could it be your graphics freezing because it doesnt like something that i tunes uses. try some i tunes alternatives. seems a bit odd that something like i tunes could do that. you might want to go to a apple store and pretend you have a real mac (fun bit of acting skills) so you can get some answers. or rollback your version or something. just some ideas sorry there not that usefull Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257295-osx-snow-leopard-freezes/#findComment-1685363 Share on other sites
boullusgoullus
Well, I don't think it's the graphics, it seems there is absolutely no link I could downgrade my version of OSX or iTunes, of course, but it would be better to solve the problem... Any other ideas? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257295-osx-snow-leopard-freezes/#findComment-1686414 Share on other sites
