Hey,

So I downloaded Hazard OS X 10.6.1-10.6.2, the installation part goes fine, it boots up, I select some options, then it installs and restarts. When I go to boot it after installation it starts up, the apple logo with the white screen comes up, then it says "You must restart your computer" or something along those lines. If I start it up in safe mode, it loads up fine. So I'm wondering how I can fix it so that it will start normally, any ideas?

My laptop is a Gateway MD7811u

Here's some specs on it:

Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650

Audio: High Definition Audio (that's all it says)

Wireless: Broadcom BCM94312HMG (taken out of HP Mini laptop)(used it so internet would work in OS X 10.5.6)

IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers: Intel ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller

Computer: ACPIx64- based PC

Processor: Inter Core 2 Duo CPU T6600

Ram: 4GB

Hard Drive: 500GB

I already had it set up on iPC OS X 10.5.6 with audio, internet, and everything working. Reason I need it updated it because I want to run Logic Pro 9, and the 10.5.6 OS X is too old to support it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Start it in verbose mode (-v) and find out where it is hanging. You will see a spot that says "panic" followed by a block of numbers. Right below that will be the name(s) of the kext(s) that are causing the problem. That is what you must work on either by adding/changing some kexts or by selecting the appropriate options during installation.

yeah, you need to find where it's hangin on.

do -v (verbose) in the boot screen. You'll see after input that code, lines of OS X booting. when it was says kernel panic, look into the related kext that make panic.

i have one problem once like this in Hazard 10.6.6i, after i update to 10.6.7.

my problem was there is a panic caused by sleepenabler.kext on 10.6.6 and some unsupported kext for my machine.

now, it's runnin smooth and roaring. ;)

Mattharrison92, maybe You should check what kext needed for your rig. take a close look on the motherboard specs and cpu instruction, also the HD 3650 kext.
