I did a lot of searching in this forum and on the net but the problems/solutions were odd and kind of didn't make sense. My case is this: OSX JaS 10.4.6 DVD AMD 64 3000+ SSE2 only (no SSE3) I checked the Combo Update, AMD Base, and AMD SSE2 during installation. It installed BUT it DID NOT restart after the installation was completed. So it did manually. So when I boot a lot of writing comes, then black screen with cursor with MUSIC playing !!!! Look I don't know the Tec side but I had major problems installing with the Jas 10.4.6 DVD. Mine would restart after installation and it's not supposed to. From what I remember it just then asks you to input information like name, password, date... Anyway after it restarted it would be like nothing had happened. I would do the installation again and nothing... So I downloaded Myz's DVD. Worked nice for me. Maybe give that a go while you're sorting this out just encase there is no solution to this. If I had done that I would have saved my self 2 weeks. After the the first restart is where is should ask for username, date, ... etc Thats where it plays the music (Welcome music I guess) and in my case there is NOTHING on screen .. ALL Black !!!!!!
