dfris
Ok, Im in need of a new wifi card and i can only use the pcie half wifi cards. Does anyone know a known working card for 10.6.7. Also does osx support the N cards? Iv seen posts that go both ways on this one. Im looking at a dell wirless 1510 but ebay has them with different chip sets. Also looking at the ar9285 but seems not to work oob for some. Any advice or links to a known OOB experince would be great, its just got to be the Half size chips. Thanks for your time and help Daryl Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257104-pcie-half-wifi-cards-and-osx-1067/ Share on other sites
BumbleBritches57
i was in the same situation like 2 months ago! i unfortunately choose the Asus PCE-N13 that uses a RT2860 chipset, don't use that chipset if you want x64 compadibility, i'm tryin to see if anyone can compile the linux version for x64, but as of right now, make sure your card DOES NOT have the Ralink RT2860 Chipset Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257104-pcie-half-wifi-cards-and-osx-1067/#findComment-1684290 Share on other sites
dfris
UPDATE: For anyone who needs a pcie half size N card, the Dell DW1510 works like a charm, Iv great speed, and Mac OSX 10.6.7 picked it up out of the box and even airport installed it, seen all my connecting and signed in with a secure connection. So this is the card to get, got it on ebay for about 22 us dollars.
