CamiloML
USB is "built in"? You mean if it's onboard or provided by a PCI card in a slot? It's Onboard, so i guess yes, it's built in. Does it really make any difference??? Thanks once more for being there for helping us MaLd0n We have tried your auto patcher, but the system never comes back from sleep with the autopatched DSDT. gibsonic
Thanks will patch his DSDT ASAP, send back and when i have feedback i'll come and share. Thx. Tried this - the 'USB Bus' controllers now appear as built-in, but the 'USB High-Speed Bus' controllers show 'Expansion Slot' and the system fails to wake from sleep with the '2' and '3' diagnostic LEDs lit. Does anyone have any clues? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/256904-dell-optiplex-780-dsdt-patching-needed/#findComment-1713360 Share on other sites
dingonine
Tried this - the 'USB Bus' controllers now appear as built-in, but the 'USB High-Speed Bus' controllers show 'Expansion Slot' and the system fails to wake from sleep with the '2' and '3' diagnostic LEDs lit. Does anyone have any clues? I am having the same problems too. System will sleep but not wake. Using Chameleon RC 5 and DSDT patched for the USB to be all "built-in", and no SleepEnabler/EVOReboot/etc kexts. When waking either using the power-button or USB keyboard/mouse, the '2' and '3' diagnostic LEDs light. Quoting the Dell manual: "A possible floppy drive or hard drive failure has occurred." The system is completely unresponsive. Can't even SSH into it to reboot. A cold reboot is needed to recover.
