Hey folks. I'm trying my hand at installing OSX for the first time, and I'm at my first obstacle.

I'm installing iATKOS v7 onto my Aspire One ZG5. The disc boots fine on my external dvd drive, and the install process doesn't show any errors during. It takes about twenty minutes, and then the machine reboots, launches what I can only guess is the new boot loader, and then reboots to an endless loop of that.

I'm stumped here, and I could use a hand. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

When you installed, right before pressing the "Install" button, you were presented with a "Customize" button (on the left side). What selections did you make in the Customize section? To do that intelligently, you need to know a little abou the components inside your Aspire. Running Everest from Windows is a good way to get a thorough rundown of everything in your machine.

Also, at the top of every forum page is a Google search box for the forum. Type: Aspire One ZG5 into the box and read the experiences of others who have tried to install on this machine.

I've got a specs list, but maybe I skipped out on the customization bit.

I'm having a hard time finding documentation on the ZG5 model of Aspire One. I know there's decent support for the rest of the family, so I'm probably just not reading something properly.

Okay. I've successfully installed the system, and it seems to be running properly except that I'm unable to connect to the internet with a wired connection, nor can I use my wireless usb stick, so I'm going to move this to another forum, unless this has something to do with my custom install. I selected the Realtek 1000 as per the Aspire One 150 install guide I read.

Any thoughts on this?
