Instruction to Enable UDMA

Hi all.. I think UDMA is one of the most important think if we want to speed up our hackintosh.

I hope we can post all of the instructions. If there's a post about enabling UDMA for some chipset, we can post it with a referer..

eg: UDMA in 939 http://blablabla..

:P

ps: actually I haven't found how to enable UDMA in 855 chipset :P

From what I know, UDMA is Ultra Direct Memory Access which will increase speed to accessing you disk. For example normal disc without UDMA/DMA will only get a score about 4 MB/s in xbench, but it's activated, the score will increase for about 40 MB/s. And it'll extremely increase our OSX performance (CMIIW) :)

try xbench and see your disk score.. it should be about 40 MB/s

 

Anyway, I've deleted ApplePIIXATA.kext from IOATAFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins

and now my OSX can't boot T_T and my macdrive is out of date now.. so i can't put the file back.. How can i fix my osx?
