inferno10
Has anyone gotten Time Machine to successfully backup using a network-attached storage device? I have an external hard drive attached to my Mac mini that serves as a server. I have my MacBook connect to the partition through AFP, and configured Time Machine to use that networked drive. However, the backup process takes forever, and when it completes, I don't have a successful entry in Time Machine for that date. The drive shows a Backup folder with a sparseimage file, instead of a folder with a unique timestamp in the Backups.backupdb folder. rollcage
Sorry that I don't have any idea on how to help (working on a download vor Leopard, after that I may be able to provide assistance), but seeing the words "remote" and "time machine" made me think: wouldn't it be cool if you could use Time Machine from Front Row. I know it wouldn't be useful, but cool nonetheless. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25613-remote-time-machine/#findComment-173293 Share on other sites
