avin7000 Posted May 1, 2011 Share Posted May 1, 2011 Hi all, I am trying to install Mac with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] + Retail DVD method, On chameleon prompt, when I directly click on Mac Install DVD, Apple logo comes and later a STOP sign appears. But when I use flags, for safe mode, I am getting Still waiting for root device error. [have set SATA to AHCI] I have tried following flags, in vain -v -v -f -v -x -v busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1 -v -x busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1 Laptop config : Dell XPS L501x i7 740 GT 435m HM57 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
aquadog Posted May 2, 2011 Share Posted May 2, 2011 it might not be possible to install it for u.. I am new to this but I had to get ide dvd just specially for mac installation plus I had one old ide hdd and that solved my problem. Try searching how to install it from pen-drive or external hdd.
