I have the same x200 chipset, and can not seem to get it to work. The install completes and the first boot goes fine, but then if I shut down or reboot, I get stuck at the "Waiting for root device" problem. Then again you may get lucky with it so who knows. The only install distro I have been able to get to work fairly nicely with the laptop in question was the Myzar 10.4.6 release (which of course have since lost the DVD to, my luck.)
