I am trying to install 10.5.7 or 10.6 which I successfully installed on my laptop with lower specs. I constantly get kernel panics during installation. I tried several boot commands and only "-x -v" SUCCESSFULLY installs mac but when booting into it, I get the stop sign with grey apple logo screen.

The specs are:

Evga nforce 680i sli motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz

4 gig DDR2 ram (1gb x 4)

2 of Nvidia GeForce 7900 video cards

The SLI wasn't the problem, I removed one card completely and got the same kernel panic for 10.5. Really makes no sense if I boot in safe mode with -x, the install is successful but the stop sign shows up when trying to boot in the gui. I read the documentation in the install cd that the stop sign means a bad driver was selected but i made sure none were selected and I'm getting the same problem.

I took pictures of the panic from 10.5 and 10.6. It seems like 10.5 has to do with the kernel and 10.6 with the cpu. I have already tried cpus=1 with no success.

Makes no sense that I can install both on my laptop with lower specs (can be seen in signature).
